Wills/Estate Planning

One of the greatest risks to wealth transfer is not making adequate preparations for the management and distribution of your assets before your demise. We assist our clients to make adequate preparations by preparing either a will or a trust or other gift instruments. We also advise in the structuring of assets that need not be bequeathed to loved ones through a will.

Not having a will and dying intestate can expose you to the risk of having your wealth distributed in a manner not contemplated. Therefore a will is one of the most important documents our clients will ever sign. We have extensive experience drawing up valid wills and Codicils which comply with all legal requirements for validity. A badly made will often results in delays and dispute in executing the testator’s wishes.

We take off the legal burdens after your demise and protect the interests of the beneficiaries under the will. We apply for and obtain Grant of Probate on behalf of our clients as well as letters of Administration in instances of intestacy. In instances of contentious probate, we represent clients in court proceedings. We also act as solicitors to the estate of the deceased, assist in gathering the estate, prepare legal documents and perform any necessary functions.
